How to create QrCode from Razorpay payment gateway & accept payments
Hello Friends,
As we know, digital world is growing faster. In every field we are upgrading the systems and method of actions. One of them is digital payment system, which is expanding much faster that we can not imagine and the thing is making it faster and reliable is QrCode. You can just scan it from the your device and pay your bill payment within a moment.
In this article, we are going to see that you can also create this kind of QrCode within a few minutes and start accepting payments digitally through Razorpay payment gateway.
Before that let’s understand what is QrCode?
QrCode is a simple black and white colored image and has some patter over it, in which we have some information that is handle and verify by the owner the QrCode creator. Sample of QrCode is shown below.
Follow these steps to generate QrCode from Razorpay
Step 1: Create Razorpay account by clicking this URL.
Step 2: Log into the Razorpay Dashboard. Click QR Codes → +Create QR Codes. Please refer the below shown screenshot.
Step 3: Provide the following details as show in below:
- QR Configuration: You can choose options while creating the QR code to receive a single payment or multiple payments.
a) Multiple Payments: Enables QR code tor receive multiple payments.
b) Single Payment: Enables QR code to receive only one payment. Once this payment is received, the QR code is automatically closed.
2. Set to accept fixed amount on this QR?: You can decide whether to accept fixed amount or let the customer decide the amount:
a) Yes: Set to Yes and specify the fixed amount you want to receive from customers. Customers will not be able to pay an amount greater than or lesser than the specified amount.
b) No: Set to No to allow customers to pay an amount of their choice.
3. Description (Optional): you may add a description for your reference.
Note: All these above points are shown in the screenshot below.
Details added in description will show up in the QR Image.
4. Advanced Options: Click View Advanced Options to view and configure advanced options.
a) Close By (Optional): Set a closure date for the QR Code. Select the Close this QR Code after option to select the date and time at which the account must be automatically closed.
Note: Ensure that the time specified is at least 15 minutes after the QR code creation time.
b) Customer: Select the customer from the drop-down list. You can also create a new customer while creating the QR code.
Handy Tip
You may skip this step and proceed with creation, if you do not wish to tag it to a specific customer. However, you cannot modify the QR code and tag it to a customer later.
5. Name: Add a name for the QR code for your reference. This will appear on your Dashboard.
Handy Tip
This is for your reference only and will not be visible to the end user.
6. Add Internal Note: Add notes for internal reference.
Note: This helps with reconciliation and will be available in the payments reports for the payments captured via QR.
Step 4: Once all the details checked out then click Create QR Code. QrCode will be visible as shown:
You can download and share the QR code image with anyone. The QR code appears in your dashboard QrCode section in a list as shown.
